You must have lived in the UK for at least 6 of the last 12 months. You must have a permanent UK address and be registered with a medical practitioner in the UK.

This policy is only available to UK residents who are in the UK at the time of the purchase (includes England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Scilly Isles, the Isle of Man and Channel Islands).

Single trip:Cover for a single trip, for the exact number of days you need.

Annual multi-trip: Covers multiple trips within one year, with a total of up to 183 days across all your trips. You can purchase your annual multi-trip policy up to 60 days before your policy start date. You can get cover for up to 45 days per trip. If you want to stay longer, you can add the optional extra ‘Extended Stay’ to increase your maximum trip length to 55 days per trip. If you're aged 71 or over and travelling to the USA, Canada, Mexico, or the Caribbean, the maximum length for each trip is 35 days, and the ‘Extended Stay’ optional extra is not available.

A single trip policy could work out cheaper if you're only travelling once within the year and cover can be arranged for the exact number of days you require.

Please note the minimum trip length is 2 days.

There will be no cover for any claims if you have already started your trip.

So you have flexibility, you can buy your annual multi-trip policy up to 60 days before you want the policy to start. Please note, there will be no cover for any claims until the start date of your policy, nor for any trips that started prior to you purchasing a policy.
